The idea & the making
Cyber Fertility moves between abstract painting, wire structures and moving image. I imagine an external womb as a speculative form through which to explore bodily autonomy and inherited expectations. Dense lines, neural forms and red-and-blue spaces carry the tension between constraint and the possibility of change.
The project began with wire studies and digital drawings. I translated elements of the paintings into movement in TouchDesigner, then brought projected images and physical wire forms together. The installation experiments invite a viewer to encounter the imagined body at their own scale.
Working between a drawing and a physical structure made the idea tangible, while the moving image opened a more abstract, microscopic perspective on growth.
The external womb is an artistic, speculative concept explored through painting, moving image and installation.
